Open source and licenses

Tsunaro is open source. Its software, operator documentation and website have different licenses; the footer is a project credit, not a change to those terms.

Operator software: Apache-2.0

The Tsunaro operator software is licensed under the Apache License 2.0 . You can use, modify and distribute it, including commercially, subject to the license conditions. These include retaining the required notices, identifying modified files and preserving applicable NOTICE attributions. The license also includes an express patent grant and provides the software without warranties.

The source repository contains the full license and any applicable notices. Dependencies retain their own licenses.

Operator documentation: CC BY 4.0

The documentation from the operator repository, mounted on this site at the pinned release , is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) .

You can share and adapt it, including commercially. Give appropriate credit, link to the license and indicate changes. Do not imply endorsement or impose additional legal or technical restrictions that prevent others from exercising the licensed rights. The complete terms are in the operator repository’s docs/LICENSE.

Website and theme: MIT

The website’s own source and content, including this page and the documentation landing page, are covered by the site repository’s MIT License. The Hextra theme is separately MIT-licensed. Retain the applicable copyright and permission notices when redistributing substantial portions. See each repository’s LICENSE for the full terms.

Release downloads retain their published license declarations. The SPDX inventories declare CC0-1.0 for the document data; this does not change the licenses of the packages they describe.

These licenses do not replace the licenses of third-party components or grant trademark rights. For questions, contact hello@tsunaro.io .
